With a background in design, Jess approaches hair as a sculptural, collaborative process — treating each cut as something tailored and intentional. She specializes in razor shags, precision work, and curly cuts, always refining her craft to better meet each client’s unique needs.

SHAGS, CURLS, STRAIGHT RAZOR CUTS

Once a design student at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Jess Rizzo decided she needed to take her artistic skills to the next level. Six months into a move to Philadelphia, she decided to attend the Jean Madeline Aveda Institute to study cosmetology in 2018.

Since then, Jess has taken on the challenge of design in a three dimensional space, viewing every haircut as its own sculpture. More specifically, what Jess loves most about hair is that it is a collaboration between the stylist and the client. She does what she can to address each client’s specific needs. Her specialty includes razor cut shags, precision cuts and curly haircutting. She will stop at nothing to perfect her craft.

In her free time she enjoys thrifting and spending time with her cat Marni.
